December 2011: A year later and after a season spent increasing the density of the foliage pads, I had been able to tighten up the foliage. However, the overall foliage mass of the bonsai looked too big for the size of the trunk and I decided to carry out a second styling. I reduced the height of the crown, turning it into a jin and lightened the foliage mass throughout.

March 2012: During the following Spring I was finally able to repot the tree into a more suitable bonsai pot, although this was still not the final pot for the tree.

June 2013: I decided to accentuate the deadwood shari of the Chinese Juniper further in June 2013.

The lower trunk was fully hollowed out.
